With the typical yoke rails, carved “ears” and the intricately carved back splat, this Provincial Chippendale chair has all the hallmarks of having been originally inspired by Thomas Chippendale’s pattern book.
This is entitled “The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker’s Director” and was first published in 1754.
The Classic Chair Company has replicated every nuance of this very fine chair and our expert carvers have faithfully reproduced the wonderful back splat exactly. The drop-in seat is both comfortable and easily re-upholstered when necessary.
