The Robert Jupe radially extending circular table
Many makers have made variations of his design since 1835 when Robert Jupe patented the ingenious method of extending a round table, of which an antique version commanded a price in the region of USD350,000. The Classic Chairs Table, however, follows his design exactly and so produces a ‘real’ Jupe table. Having had the very considerable advantage of owning two of the few known original tables made by Robert Jupe, Classic Chairs has been able to ensure the authenticity of his unusual table.
