A VOLKSTEDT (Thuringen, Germany) figurine group on a stepped rectangular base, a lively scene of a young man addressing a lady sitting on a donkey.
His hand rests rather suggestively on the donkey’s rump. A small boy holds the leading rope.
They are dressed in romanticised 18th c clothing.
The underglaze mark was one used between 1900-1936, and under it are the numbers 1702 or possibly 1762.
Mint condition.
