VINTAGE ITEM: ROBUR TEA COMPANY Teapot, ‘Perfect’, electroplated nickel silver.
‘Challenge’ silverware made by Robur Tea Company, Melbourne, Australia, 1930 – 1940
Their first product, the ‘Perfect’ Teapot was made from 1927 with worldwide patents. This one has the tea leaf strainer integral to the spout, and may have had yet another inserted one originally.
In recent years, vintage sets of the “perfect” tea pot have become scarce as people realised just how perfect they really are.
