Historical note:
In 1921, the maker Kenneth George Luke became a partner, and then proprietor of a small metal spinning factory in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
He purchased a factory in 1929 in Queen’s Parade, North Fitzroy. There, he produced various items and electroplated tableware using the names LUKE, and K C Luke, and also PARAMOUNT.
He went from strength to strength, surviving the depression and building a group of metal manufacturing businesses, and becoming a major sporting figure in his own right.
His company produced the Olympic medals for Australia.
