Classic Prince of Wales Feather Elbow Chair

The Classic Prince of Wales Feather Chair is named because of the carved motif of the three curled ostrich feathers which was the emblem of the Prince of Wales, who then became King George IV.
This particular chair is very similar to a design of 1787 in George Hepplewhite’s pattern book “The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer’s Guide“, published in London in 1794.
