The Gillows Chamber Table has many possible uses: for instance as a desk or dressing table.
It has 2 drawers plus it is similarly detailed on both sides. This means it can be used as a central table.
Inspiration for this table came from a sketch from “Gillows General Sketchbook” (344/14 pp11).
Historical note: Gillows of Lancaster was a famous firm established c.1728, and later in London. They were the only makers to impress their makers mark consistently.
