The Lords Mirror is an exact copy of an English 18th c example, and features lattice fretwork. This is entwined with oak leaf foliage, cartouches and Rococo touches.
It is surmounted by a pediment and flanked by Ho Ho birds.
Ho Ho birds are included in the rage for all things Oriental which swept through Europe in the 18th c, and occur frequently on furniture, mirrors and accessories and also on quality porcelain.
