MEAKIN LELAND dining set
J & G MEAKIN DINING SET for 6, plus serving dishes (see G102 similar)
An extremely attractive set of shaped green and gilt line porcelain.
J & G Meakin: James and George were 2 of the 4 sons of James Meakin, and all of them were famous potters at Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. .
The mark on this set dates it to between 1912 and 1925.
6 each of dining, entrée, side, and soup plates, (dia’s 25,22,20.5, 25 cm), one meat platter, a lidded tureen (33 L x 23 H), a gravy boat and stand, and an extra tureen lid.
In wonderful condition. (26 pcs)
The Meakin Leland dining set coupled with The Meakin set “Greenville” would make a wonderful complementary addition for an even larger dining set.
